Four Boroughs

Positioned on the intersection of four London boroughs: Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth and Southwark, the cafe sits at the southeast corner of Crystal Palace Park.

The cafe features a light and clean aesthetic, characterised by the extensive use of birch faced plywood. Not only does this provide a homogenous feel but it also allowed bespoke furniture on a limited budget.

Keen to tap into the weekday commuter traffic, en route to Crystal Palace train station; and the weekend cycling crowd on their way out to the Kent and Surrey lanes, the clients wanted a flexible space with a variety of seating options. As well as designing the layout and furniture of the cafe, we worked closely with the graphic designer and client to develop the cafe’s concept and brand.
